Molino Bajo, for 200 years was the centre of the olive business in
Melegis and reportedly the producer of the finest olive oil in the
province of Granada.
The mill has been lovingly restored and transformed to welcome you into
its endless entertaining spaces. The 40ft living room is quite
spectacular and keeps nice and cool in the summer, whilst in winter the
Moroccan style open fire and under floor heating keep it cozy. The four
7ft tinajas are a dramatic feature and Moroccan style lanterns
throughout provide atmospheric lighting. The dining area is separated by
the original olive press which leads the way to the imposing dining
table cut from the original granite millstone. Innovative design and
Moorish style, along with traditional pieces from its milling past
create an eclectic and luxurious interior.
